Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Road Group. The role involves design of transportation projects, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with clients and internal teams on planning and delivery.

The candidate should have a BSCE, PE license, and at least four years of roadway design experience, with proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, or OpenRoads Designer. This on-site opportunity spans multiple Ohio locations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and design technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for transportation and roadway projects.
• Develop and oversee geometric design, maintenance of traffic, drainage, and signing/pavement marking plans.
• Lead or support the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop and review 3D roadway models and related digital design deliverables.
• Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and design technicians.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable design standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams on project coordination and technical issues.
• Contribute to project scoping, scheduling, and proposal development as needed.
