Job summary

RK&K is hiring a Roadway Senior Project Engineer for our central Florida offices. The role involves leading roadway design projects, including widenings, resurfacing, and PD&E studies, with FDOT and municipal clients.

You will work with a team of engineers, prepare plan sets, estimates, and design documentation, and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants. A Florida PE license and 4+ years of roadway design experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida.
• Minimum four years of roadway design experience.
• Experience with FDOT Connect/ORD.
• Familiarity with FDOT Standards and Florida Design Manual.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare roadway plan set components including plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets.
• Prepare specifications packages.
• Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Prepare design documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and sub-consultants.
