Job summary

Egis in the U.S. is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer to support transportation projects across North Carolina. This role serves as project manager or task leader for urban and rural roadway engineering initiatives, with a focus on NCDOT collaboration.

The candidate will manage planning, design through implementation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely, quality deliverables. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of transportation engineering or roadway design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain NC licensure within six months.
• Experience with NCDOT projects, policies, standards, and development processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of transportation projects for NC agencies and municipalities.
• Coordinate activities among internal design teams, subconsultants, agency stakeholders, and clients.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, scope management, and tracking milestones.
• Foster and maintain relationships with project personnel and partners.
• Support project execution, budgeting, and client communications.
• Participate in project meetings, stakeholder coordination, and agency discussions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure quality deliverables on time.
• Assist with proposals, client presentations, and business development.
