THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role centers on reviewing reports, maintaining inventory records, and overseeing storeroom activities that support county maintenance operations. Through your work, you will ensure materials and information are accurate, available, and aligned with department procedures. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Inventory Analysis: Review inventory usage information to support reconciliation efforts and identify needed adjustments
- Report Review: Evaluate monthly reports to help guide planning, compliance checks, and material management
- Storeroom Tasks: Manage supply receipt, storage, and distribution while keeping stock levels appropriate
- Purchase Processing: Track purchasing card activity and ensure all transactions follow required rules
- Record Accuracy: Maintain correct SAP inventory records and update reorder points for stocked materials
- Shipment Inspection: Check incoming and outgoing shipments and document quantities, condition, and destination

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require overtime.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent); or
- An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires a valid Class C driver's license that is not under suspension.
