Qualifications

• One year of experience with related degree and different fields, or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role ensures smooth coordination of maintenance operations, planning efforts, and resource management across county activities. The position supports administrative, budgetary, and technical functions essential to roadway programs. As a Roadway Programs Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:

• Work Planning: Develop annual work plans and monitor progress using system reports


• Budget Management: Manage county budget activities and advise on funding decisions


• Safety Oversight: Ensure proper work zone setups and encourage safe practices for all crews


• Signage Review: Evaluate signage conditions and respond to related concerns throughout the county


• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of materials and oversee stockpile management


• Staff Direction: Supervise clerical and technical staff, as well as coordinate daily operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment


• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.


• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Specialist or Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or


• Three years of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and an associate's degree in a field of business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology or closely related program; or


• One year of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or civil engineering related discipline; or


• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
