Job summary

W-L Construction & Paving, a CRH company, is hiring for field crew in southwest Virginia. You will perform labor tasks including shoveling, sweeping, raking, lifting, and assisting with paving and utilities. Starting pay is $19.50 an hour.

Applicants must work with the crew per plan specs, be flexible for schedule changes and overtime, and may travel. A flagger certification will be obtained during orientation; CRH offers a strong benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must partner with crew per plan specifications and adapt to duties as instructed by crew foreman.
• Overtime work and possible night shifts; out-of-town work may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including shovel and rake.
• Flagger Certification required during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform shoveling, sweeping, raking, lifting, and other tasks as assigned.
• Assist with various positions to meet daily schedules and estimates.
• Maintain courteous and professional conduct with coworkers and the public.
