Job summary

West Virginia Paving, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Laborer to support asphalt and paving crews on construction projects. You will shovel, rake, load and unload materials, and help maintain a safe, efficient work site.

We value reliability, the ability to work in extreme temperatures, and flexible shifts including day or night hours. Pre-employment drug screen and background check apply; standing and manual labor are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to fifty pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
• Must be available for day shift or night shift as needed.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to be flexible with last-minute schedule changes, location changes, and shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Shovel and rake asphalt.
• Perform general labor duties to support crew and project needs.
• Ability to work in extreme hot and cold weather.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Load and unload tools and materials.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up work zones.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
