The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Supervisor’s Assistant for the East Hampton Maintenance Facility. This full-time role supports administrative, operational, and customer-service tasks in a busy garage setting.

Responsibilities include dispatch during emergencies, payroll entry, procurement, and maintaining logs for multiple projects while ensuring accuracy under public-safety pressures.

Qualifications

• One year of general clerical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative, clerical, operational, and customer-service duties in a fast-paced garage office.
• Monitor and dispatch personnel for roadway emergencies and public complaints.
• Enter payroll in the State's Core system.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, orders, and billing invoices.
• Maintain records for Federal, State, and FEMA projects.
• Manage inventory and supplies; track vehicle and equipment mileage in STARS.
• Respond to calls from the public and other agencies; assist with snow removal and cleaning duties.
• Coordinate and/or dispatch appropriate personnel during emergencies.
