Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the leading national provider of traffic safety products and services. The Pavement Marking Technician II will drive and operate pavement marking equipment for road construction and maintenance projects across the region.

The role involves cross training with Traffic Control and Pavement Marking teams, precise application of markings, and adherence to safety protocols in varying weather conditions. Training is provided where required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Report.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• ATSSA TCT intermediate training provided by the company.
• ATSSA Pavement Marking intermediate training provided by the company.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• Must read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavement marking equipment to apply paint, thermoplastic, and other markings.
• Prepare work areas, transport materials, and drive company trucks to job sites.
• Implement striping plans and perform layout including intersection markings.
• Maintain and repair pavement marking equipment and perform shop work as needed.
• Communicate with contractors and field inspectors; supervise field personnel as required.
• Complete daily paperwork and verify specifications; follow safety rules at all times.
