Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND two years of construction, maintenance, trades, or heavy equipment experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Arizona Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for operation of combination vehicles with manual transmissions
• Background check and pre-employment drug test required

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks and equipment with manual transmissions and hand tools.
• Construct and maintain road structures; repair roadway surfaces, culverts, headwalls, shoulders, and guardrails.
• Assist with inspection, maintenance, and reporting of mechanical problems; complete daily logs.
• Control traffic in work zones; perform on‑call, 24‑7 service on rotation; maintain attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
