Ideal candidates can read and speak English, perform basic math, and learn to operate heavy equipment with safety. A CDL may be required within stated timelines and a pre-employment drug/alcohol test applies.

Formación

• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and to understand highway signs and records.
• Basic math and computer skills evident in daily duties.
• Ability to learn and operate various trucks and heavy equipment and follow safety protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Operate single-axle dump truck and/or tractor with mowing attachments.
• Perform landscape maintenance and tree cutting on highway rights-of-way using power tools.
• Load, unload, and stack materials such as salt, sand, cement, and chemicals.
• Flag traffic and assist with setting up work zones and signs.
• Respond to emergencies 24/7 and work in varying weather conditions.
