Job summary

DCSAM is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day road and infrastructure maintenance, repairs, and related duties. The role requires operating equipment, setting up MOT, and completing preventative maintenance on vehicles and assets.

You will join a safety‑driven team, with overtime and on‑call rotations. This position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with skid steer, wheel loader, mini excavator and tractor.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (minimum 5 years).
• Open availability, including overtime and emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive safety culture by following all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
• Set up and remove traffic control devices to ensure safe maintenance of traffic.
• Perform highway maintenance and repairs including pothole patching, striping, and concrete/asphalt work.
• Maintain roadway cleanliness and drainage systems; manage vegetation control.
• Repair and maintain signs, guardrails, fences, and lighting; work at heights.
• Transport crew and equipment; conduct preventative maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Foster relationships with customers, subcontractors and suppliers; promote customer service.
