The position offers a CAREER-LADDER path with opportunities to advance to higher levels as skills and experience grow. Candidates must meet the listed minimum qualifications and may be required to undergo a work simulation and medical-physical examination.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• A passing grade on the CDL written exam is required prior to hire and must pass the driving portion with tanker endorsement (Class B) and interstate status within 60 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and a medical-physical examination is required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling roadway joints and potholes, flagging, directing traffic, and setting up signs and traffic control devices.
• Maintains, cleans, and repairs state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment servicing.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel and materials, and to plow snow, spread ice control materials, and perform related tasks.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, and perform work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• May install signs, inspect structures, pour footings, weld posts, and repair signs.
