Job summary

The State of Missouri's Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking a Maintenance Worker for the Paris Maintenance Facility. This entry‑level role performs routine duties under direct supervision to maintain highways and facilities.

Responsibilities include highway maintenance, equipment operation, and occasional overtime or night work. A CDL (Class B) with tanker endorsement is required for hire, and there are potential winter/emergency duty adjustments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Passing score on the CDL written exam and driving test with tanker endorsement; interstate status within 60 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling joints/cracks, patching potholes, and traffic control.
• Maintains, cleans, and repairs state highway facilities and related equipment.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel and materials, supports winter operations, and may plow snow.
• May perform bridge and sign work and install/repair signs as needed.
