Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL written test and tanker endorsement are required within 60 days after hire; driving test with tanker endorsement required.
• Medical-physical examination and a work simulation are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, filling joints and cracks, patching potholes, flagging and directing traffic, and setting up traffic control devices.
• Maintains and repairs state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, painting, and servicing equipment.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel and materials, plow snow and spread ice control materials, and operate various heavy machinery.
• May repair bridges and drains, and install or repair signs, requiring work at heights.
• Follow safety protocols and work under supervision as part of CAREER‑LADDER progression.
