Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL written exam success required prior to hire; tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions (Class B), interstate status within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling joints/cracks and potholes; flags traffic; sets up signs and traffic control devices; loads/unloads materials; clears brush; removes debris.
• Maintains, cleans, and repairs highway facilities; replaces signs and guardrails; cleans curbs; paints buildings and equipment; services equipment.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel/equipment; may plow snow and spread ice; mows right of way; operates auger/trencher/backhoe/forklift; drives various trucks.
• May repair bridge decks and drains; clean bridge bents/caps at heights using ladders/scaffolding.
• May install signs and weld/cut steel sign posts; maintain breakaway/overlay signs.
