Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL written exam w tanker endorsement and no air brake restrictions within 60 days after hire.
• Complete a work simulation and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems including joints, potholes, traffic control devices and debris.
• Repair and maintain state highway facilities, signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel and equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and operate heavy machinery.
• May install and repair signs, inspect signs, pour footings, weld posts, and maintain breakaway signs.
• Work outdoors, endure physical hazards, overtime and potential night shifts, respond to emergencies as needed.
