Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Passing grade on the CDL written exam with tanker endorsement; Class B interstate status within 60 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling roadway joints and cracks and patching potholes.
• Maintains, cleans, and repairs state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, and equipment.
• Operates vehicles and related equipment to transport workers and materials and to perform snow plowing and ice control.
• May repair bridge decks and drains and work at heights using ladders/scaffolding.
• May install signs and inspect signs and posts, and repair breakaway signs.
