Job summary

Cintra is seeking a Roadway Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain a variety of highway equipment and facilities along I-66. This role requires CDL Class B with air brakes and 1–3+ years in roadway maintenance, traffic control, and related operations.

The candidate will support after-hours calls, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include operating TMAs, snow plows, and other gear; performing inspections, minor repairs, and general building maintenance;

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles and heavy equipment such as tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks, TMAs, and snow plows.
• Inspects equipment for proper operation and performs minor repairs.
• Performs pavement, lighting, guardrail and barrier maintenance; supports after-hours emergency work.
• Responds to traffic incidents and provides roadside assistance as needed.
• Performs building maintenance and other duties as assigned.

About us:In 2016, the Commonwealth of Virginia selected a Cintra-led consortium to finance, design, build, operate and maintain the express lanes on Interstate 66 Outside the Beltway. The project will transform this critical Northern Virginia artery to relieve congestion, improve safety and provide more predictable travel times. The project corridor extends approximately 22 miles along Interstate 66 from the Capital Beltway (I-495) to Gainesville (US Route 29). Once completed, the project will include three toll-free general-purpose lanes in each direction and two express lanes in each direction with a state-of-the-art open-road electronic toll collection system. Expanded transit service, park-and-ride lots and interchange enhancements will further improve travel along I-66. The project will also connect several shared use paths to create more multimodal options. Also, participates in the maintenance of buildings. Works with maintenance personnel receives assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager , and on occasion s supervises personnel on various job assignments . You w ill guide and/ or train less experienced personnel on equipment operation and roadway maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Operates equipment such as tractor s , mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks , Truck Mounted Attenuators ( TMA’s ) and Snow Plows .O perate assigned gas or hand tools to complete Daily AssignmentsInspects equipment for proper operating condition, makes minor repairs or adjustments, lubricates and assists in making repairs as requiredPerforms skilled maintenance such as traffic control, pavement repair, landscaping, painting, relamping , guardrail and barrier repairs , and is available on-call after hours for emergency maintenance service, as neededResponds to traffic incidents , provides roadside assistance to motorists on I- 66 and is available on-call after hours for emergency incident response, as neededPerforms miscellaneous building maintenance as requiredAny other job duties as assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a candidate's relevant experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications at the time of hire , and may fall at any point within this range.
