Qualifications

• Salary Grade NC05 ranges from $33,902 to $59,327.
• Must meet standard road maintenance and construction procedures.
• Experience with at least two pieces of Category B equipment (asphalt distributor, asphalt maintainer, asphalt mixer, asphalt patcher, crack sealing machine, ditching machine, force feed loader, front end loader, lube truck, post driver, skid steer, street sweeper, tandem dump truck, tractor A boom mower, truck with aerial device).
• Pre-employment drug testing and background check required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair state-maintained roads in Buncombe County.
• Set up work zones and traffic control devices.
• Operate equipment such as asphalt maintainer, patch truck, tandem dump truck, and related machinery.
• Monitor tasks performed by other transportation workers and respond to emergencies during normal hours or callbacks.
