Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience performing highway maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to assist with traffic control and public assistance during emergencies.
• Basic welding and use of hand tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, repairing and installing signs and posts; perform basic welding.
• Support traffic control by placing cones, signs and barricades; flag traffic.
• Maintain highways and rights‑of‑way; perform roadway repairs and clean work sites.
• Operate light equipment such as front-end loaders and street sweepers.
• Perform PMI checks, routine servicing and minor repairs on equipment.
• Assist with inspections and reports related to maintenance activities.
