TxDOT's Fort Worth District is looking to fill General Transportation Tech positions based in Fort Worth. All training, tools, and uniforms will be provided. Responsibilities include routine and moderate transportation operations and maintenance, such as roadway repairs, equipment operation, traffic control, and public assistance during emergencies. Work requires contact with private entities and following standard practices with minimal supervision.
Additional duties for Tech II include:
Minimum Qualifications:
No experience required for Tech I; at least 1 year of relevant experience for Tech II, including roadway maintenance, construction inspection, or heavy equipment operation. Technical training or education can substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.
Licenses and Certifications:
Additional knowledge areas include highway construction materials, traffic control standards, safety regulations, basic math, and proper tool use.
