Job summary

The Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission is seeking experienced MW Class II Roadway employees to join our Maintenance Department at the Swanton Maintenance Building in Swanton, OH. The team offers a wage range from $27.99 to $34.62 depending on years of service, with overtime, pensions, health care, and generous leave benefits.

Work location is Swanton, Ohio, Fulton County, Milepost 48.3. Required are a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and the ability to lift 40–80 pounds, with shifts

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with no restrictions and a tanker endorsement.
• Lift 40 pounds frequently and 80 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work long hours, various shifts, including summer night work and extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair asphalt and concrete.
• Joint and crack sealing.
• Install and repair guardrail and fences.
• Drainage and ditch maintenance.
• Roadside clean-up and mowing.
• Cutting and chipping trees and brush.
• Traffic control in high-speed traffic conditions.
• Snow and ice removal.
• Operate and transport heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, dozers, rollers, skid steer, etc.).
• Operate large trucks (single and double axel, tractor trailers).
• Operate small tools (jackhammers, chain saws, weed eaters, mower).
