The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting a Highway Maintenance Technician in Great Falls. This role encompasses laborer, lead worker, equipment operator, and truck driver duties to support highway maintenance, including culvert work, crack sealing, fencing, guardrail, and snow/ice operations.

A path for career advancement exists within MDT. All levels require a valid MT CDL Class A Type II with tank endorsement and MEC.

Qualifikationen

• Requires valid Montana CDL Class A Type II with tank endorsement and MEC.
• Experience operating heavy trucks or construction equipment for road maintenance preferred.
• Must be within 45 road miles of Great Falls Section House or willing to relocate.

Aufgaben

• Perform highway maintenance tasks including culvert work, crack sealing, fence building, guardrail installation, and snow/ice control.
• Operate various trucks and heavy equipment as part of a maintenance crew.
• Assist with road repairs, vegetation management, pavement marking, and sign installation.
