Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor with a large mower to maintain vegetation on state highway right-of-ways.
• Load and unload materials with a front-end loader as needed for maintenance.
• Coordinate placement of traffic control devices to set up a work zone per SCDOT manuals.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment/vehicles per Department rules.
