The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist in Delta, CO. You will perform road maintenance, operate heavy equipment, and respond to weather and emergencies to keep roadways open and safe.

Two years of physical labor or heavy equipment operation is required; a valid CDL Class A or B with no air-brake restriction is also required. Expect on-call, shift work, and potential overtime with a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with no restriction on air brakes.

Responsabilités

• Plowing snow
• Operating heavy equipment (e.g., tandem dump truck, loader, tractor mower)
• Mowing grass and weeds
• Removing debris from roadways and culverts
• Installing and repairing guardrail and signs
• Setting out signs and cones for traffic control
