Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's PennDOT Bucks County division seeks a Highway Maintenance Coordinator to lead roadway projects, plan maintenance operations, and support safe travel for the public. You will collaborate with crews, local officials, and community members to improve road conditions and logistics.

The role includes coordinating road maintenance, guiding staff, monitoring work quality, and fostering strong communication with partners.

Qualifications

• Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 or five years of technical highway maintenance experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and estimate paving, surface treatment, patching, bridge maintenance, signing, and snow removal.
• Allocate equipment, manpower, and materials to meet program goals.
• Coordinate work, review field activities, and maintain relationships with employees and the community.
• Promote new methods and evaluate road conditions to improve planning.
• Encourage safe work practices and raise hazard awareness to protect workers and the public.
• Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and training as needed.
