Job summary

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking an engineering intern to support roadway maintenance through field inspections, data collection, and report preparation. The position is based in Willow Springs or Poplar Bluff, MO, with entry-level hourly wages posted and opportunities for year-to-year progression as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program; ABET-accredited for engineering tracks.
• Minimum 30 credit hours completed/accepted toward degree.
• Overall GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection of field operations, work zones, buildings, networks, and road conditions; contribute to recommendations and reports.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for roadway maintenance contracts.
• Support bridge inspection programs and QA reviews on maintenance work.

ABET-accredited engineering program

30 credit hours completed toward current degree

GPA 2.0 or higher
