Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program full-time.
• Must have completed 30 credit hours toward current degree.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety inspections of state-owned bridges and prepare written reports.
• Assist with in-depth bridge inspections using under-bridge inspection equipment.
• Record in the transportation management system bridge inspection data and deterioration ratings.
• Create and update bridge and culvert location maps.
• Assist with rating bridges for load capacities and the federal bridge inventory.
• Attend project meetings with department personnel, city, county, state, federal personnel and private consultants.
• Evaluate and utilize engineering software and develop comprehensive spreadsheets.
