Job summary

MoDOT in Neosho, Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Crew Leader to supervise a highway maintenance crew and train staff while performing core duties. You will lead operations, set up work zones, operate tractors, dozers, loaders, and snowplows, oversee material usage, inspect bridges and roadways, and report on progress.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, five years of relevant experience, and successful completion of a work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, interstate status.
• Five years of roadway/bridge/maintenance experience.
• Successful completion of a work simulation exam and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Leads crews during maintenance operations, including setting up work zones and performing highway maintenance tasks.
• Operates maintenance equipment such as tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders and snowplows.
• Oversees material usage and may submit reports; assists with employee records.
• Oversees routine maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Inspects bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs and progress.
