Job summary

AECOM is seeking Roadway Lighting Engineers and Designers for a full-time role based in the United States, primarily in Mobile, Alabama. This position is expected to be hybrid, allowing for both remote and in-office work. Candidates will work on various roadway lighting projects, including alternative delivery mega-projects.

We welcome applicants across all levels, and require a minimum of a BS in Engineering. The ideal candidates should be familiar with roadway lighting design packages and have experience with relevant design software.

Roadway Lighting Engineers and Designers

• Full-time
• Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
• Business Group: DCS, Business Line: Transportation, Legal Entity: AECOM Technical Services Inc

We are searching for all levels of Roadway Lighting Engineers and Designers nationwide. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.

Key Roles

• Junior level, mid-level, and senior level Roadway Lighting Engineers
• Task Lead / Subject Matter Expert

Desired Skillsets

• Experience in developing roadway lighting design packages for highway improvement projects
• Experience or interest in alternative delivery projects
• Experience in the use of AGi32 or Visual lighting design software, as well as Microstation & OpenRoads

Qualification Levels

• CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency
• Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency
• Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certification or PE License
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• State DOT experience
