Job summary

AECOM is seeking talented Roadway Lighting Engineers and Designers for projects across southern U.S. Ideal candidates will work on impactful transportation projects, either as junior, mid-level, or senior engineers, with varying responsibilities and experience requirements.

This role demands expertise in roadway lighting design, with a preferred understanding of AGi32, MicroStation, and OpenRoads software. The positions are expected to be hybrid, offering flexibility in work locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing roadway lighting design packages for highway improvement projects.
• Experience or interest in alternative delivery projects.
• EIT Certification or PE License is preferred.

Summary

We are searching for all levels of Roadway Lighting Engineers and Designers across southern U.S. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega‑projects.

• Junior level, mid‑level, and senior level Roadway Lighting Engineers
• Task Lead / Subject Matter Expert
• CAD Designers (Lighting)

Desired Skillsets

• Experience in developing roadway lighting design packages for highway improvement projects
• Experience or interest in alternative delivery projects
• Experience in AGi32 or Visual lighting design software, as well as MicroStation & OpenRoads

Minimum Requirements

• CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or equivalency
• Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or equivalency
• Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or equivalency

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certification or PE License
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• State DOT experience
