Qualifications

  • Passing score on CDL written exam required before hire; tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, interstate status within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains state highway systems, including filling joints and cracks, patching potholes, flagging traffic, and setting up signs and cones.
  • Maintains, cleans, and repairs highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment.
  • Operates vehicles to transport personnel and materials, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and operate various trucks and machinery.
  • May repair bridge decks and drains, and clean bridge bents/caps using ladders, scaffolding, or heights.
  • May install and inspect signs, pour concrete sign footings, weld posts, and maintain sign structures.
