Qualifications

• Must pass the CDL written exam before hire and the driving portion with tanker endorsement and interstate status.
• Must pass a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems and facilities under supervision, including concrete joints, potholes, and debris clearance.
• Repair and maintain road signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters; perform painting and equipment servicing.
• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment to transport personnel and materials and assist in snow/ice control operations.
• Install signs and inspect structural/sign posts; weld and cut steel posts as needed.
• May repair bridge decks and drains and perform high work from ladders or scaffolding.
