Job summary

Caton Construction Group in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking an Equipment Operator (Dozer, Excavator) for a roadway construction project in Fluvanna County. This full-time role requires operating heavy equipment and maintaining it daily, with starting pay based on skills and experience. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., with potential overnight travel and overtime. A high school diploma and four years of equipment experience are required; a valid CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years' experience involving the use of medium and heavy equipment.
• Valid CDL License.

Responsibilities

• Operates bulldozer, backhoe, road grader or front-end loader to move dirt and grade.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Follows safety and security standards in all duties.
