Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is seeking a Protector to join a crew at job sites, with no experience or degree required. You will be trained and supported while building a career in traffic safety.

Your day includes setting up cones, signs, and barricades; guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle; and following safety rules. Expect outdoor work in all weather and shifts that may include nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctual for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive).
• Respectful conduct toward coworkers, clients and the public.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades; take traffic control equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside all year in all weather conditions.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
