Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a capable operator to run trucks and light equipment for county road and city project maintenance. You will drive and operate equipment to perform road work and manage traffic flow at worksites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience, and a valid Class C license. A Class A CDL with tanker endorsement must be obtained within eight months of hire; benefits are available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of one year related experience.
  • A current and valid Class C driver license is required upon hire.
  • A Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required within eight months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and/or drives truck or light equipment
  • Performs road maintenance or construction related duties while operating equipment
  • May transport equipment and supplies
  • Controls traffic flow at work site
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment or trucks and reports needed repairs
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned
