Tarrant County is seeking an individual to operate specialized/heavy construction equipment for the maintenance and construction of County roads and city projects. The candidate will perform various duties such as operating equipment, transporting supplies, and maintaining traffic control at the work site.
To qualify, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, with at least two years of related experience. A Class A CDL is required upon hire, with additional endorsements needed within thirty days. The position requires physical capability to handle heavy objects and exposure to various weather conditions.

A Class A CDL is required upon hire, and a tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
Must have basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
If hired, you must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include financial reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, push and pull. May have to lift heavy boxes or objects up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Exposure to extreme heat and cold.
