Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator II to support the Virginia Department of Transportation in roadway maintenance. The role covers skilled equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and manual labor in a 24/7 environment.

The position requires a Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and ability to obtain a flagging certification within 60 days. Expect outdoor work, safety protocols, and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Class B CDL at minimum.
• DOT medical card.
• Ability to obtain Flagging Certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of highway maintenance equipment (backhoe, dump truck, loader, motor-grader, tractor/bush-hog).
• Flag traffic, set up work zones and traffic control.
• Patch potholes and perform emergency roadway operations.
• Carry out routine maintenance and other duties as assigned.
