HDR’s Roadway Internship is designed for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program. The intern will support the Transportation Business Group by applying standard engineering techniques to real projects, under the supervision of a senior engineer, and will engage with mentors and young professionals while participating in community service events.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsabilités

• Gain real-world experience by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures through the creation and submission of technical reports, plans, specifications and calculations.
• Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist the team with detailed designs of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.
• Participate with local colleagues in community service events and activities.
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of a Roadway Intern, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications

• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
