Job summary

HDR Saint Louis Roadway Intern position offers hands-on experience applying standard engineering techniques. You will assist in the design of urban and rural roadway projects under a senior engineer, while engaging with mentoring programs for recent graduates and young professionals.

You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program and bring attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Preference for local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures through the creation and submission of technical reports, plans, specifications and calculations
• Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist the team with detailed designs of urban and rural roadway projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
• Apply standard planning techniques and procedures
• Assist with transportation planning efforts in all modes
• Perform other duties as needed
