Job summary

MKEC Engineering, Inc. in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in office. You will assist with design of highways, bridges, interchanges and urban arterials, while coordinating with clients to meet project goals.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 4–10+ years in DOT/municipal projects, and experience with roadway design; Civil 3D or MicroStation tools are preferred. Kansas PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• 4–10+ years in transportation projects (DOT/municipal/county).
• Experience in roadway and/or bridge design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and production of transportation projects (DOT, turnpike, county, municipal).
• Support project manager in roadway, bridge, drainage and traffic design.
• Provide leadership and guidance to production staff.
