Volkert Inc. invites qualified candidates for a Roadway EIT role supporting our Gulf Region. The position is located in Brentwood/Nashville, Knoxville, or Chattanooga, TN, with relocation as needed.

Responsibilities include data analysis for project plans, OpenRoads Designer programming, and contributing to reports, estimates, and schedules. Candidates should have a BS in Civil Engineering and 2–4 years of roadway experience, with EIT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certification desired but not required.
• 2–4 years of experience in roadway design or related field.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data for inclusion in project plans and reports.
• Assists and prepares project plans using OpenRoads Designer.
• Contributes to the preparation of engineering reports, calculations, and project specifications.
• Prepares construction quantities and cost estimates.
• Reviews project quantities and checks calculations for compliance.
• Prepares project schedules and supports ongoing projects.
