Job summary

Volkert is seeking an experienced Roadway Project Engineer to support the Gulf Region in Mississippi and/or Tennessee. Candidates should have 3+ years in roadway design and be based in or willing to relocate to MS or TN. EIT is required; PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 3–6 years of roadway design experience.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate roadway design projects and estimates.
• Lead and assist in design development, directing EIs and designers.
• Prepare reports, specifications, plans, and schedules for projects.
• Collaborate with subconsultants and clients to deliver work on time.
• Ensure adherence to DOT standards, budgets, and quality practices.
