Job summary

HMB Professional Engineers, LLC in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Roadway EIT to join a top transportation firm and work on capstone-type projects, being client facing from day one. The role is based in Murfreesboro with hybrid work options.

The candidate will design and prepare technical reports and construction documents, coordinate with agencies and clients, and manage scope, schedules, and budgets. EIT certification is preferred and OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in all technical aspects of roadway design.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing.
• Ability to meet deadlines in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents.
• Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
• Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.
