Job summary

HMB is seeking a Roadway EIT in Nashville to work on capstone-type projects and be client facing from day one. The role is located in Mt. Juliet, TN, with a compensation range of $65,000–$80,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred.
• EIT Certification preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard industry software.

Responsibilities

• Work under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as part of the design team in preparing technical reports, analyses/calculations and construction documents.
• Prepare accurate presentations, designs, details and construction documents.
• Prepare permit applications and submittal packages for applicable agencies.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utilities, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Develop and adhere to project scope, schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Working under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents.
• Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
• Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A minimum of 2 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred
• EIT Certification is preferred
• Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.
• Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
