Job summary

Consor seeks a Roadway / Drainage Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support transportation infrastructure projects throughout Arizona, including roadway, drainage, and multimodal work for ADOT, counties, and municipalities. Hybrid work model with office presence in Phoenix or Tucson.

Ideal candidate has 2–5 years of related experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and an EIT or ability to obtain within six months. OpenRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS and HY-8 are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of transportation, roadway, drainage, or civil engineering experience.
• Familiarity with engineering design principles and industry standards.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support roadway and drainage design for transportation projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations, analyses, and design development.
• Prepare roadway alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and construction plans.
• Assist with stormwater, drainage, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses.
• Prepare quantities, cost estimates, exhibits, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with roadway, drainage, traffic, structures, survey, and utility teams.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project delivery from planning and preliminary design through final design and construction support.
