AtkinsRéalis in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Transportation Roadway Designer to develop roadway plans and reports for FDOT projects, coordinating with internal teams and client staff to keep multiple projects on schedule.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of drafting/design experience, proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and FDOT policy familiarity. On-site role with strong collaboration and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years' experience, or related education with substantial drafting experience.
• Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Familiarity with FDOT policies and Florida Design Manual (FDM).
• No registration required; willingness to pursue registration if moving to engineering path.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway plan sets and reports for FDOT projects.
• Coordinate with internal staff, client staff, and local agencies.
• Produce in-house traffic design, signing, and pavement markings.
• Prepare, read, and review plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
