Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Transportation Roadway Engineer to contribute to FDOT District Two projects. You will develop roadway plans, coordinate with internal and external teams, and prepare cost estimates for a range of projects from intersections to major reconstructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license required or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Familiarity with FDOT Policy and Procedures, including the Florida Design Manual (FDM) and FDOT Standard Plans.
• General Engineering Consultant (GEC) experience is a plus.
• Highly proficient with MicroStation/OpenRoads (ORD) software packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway plan efforts and report preparation for in-house projects from minor intersections to major reconstructions.
• Coordinate with design staff, client staff and local agencies as needed.
• Prepare and review cost estimates using standard FDOT tools; read and interpret plans and specs for major projects.
• Perform designs using CAD and OpenRoads; manage multiple projects and schedules.
• Coordinate field visits to collect data and resolve design conflicts.
