Job summary
Apex Companies is seeking a CAD/GIS Technician I to support transportation and civil engineering projects in Florida. You will turn concepts into buildable construction plans alongside engineers and project managers, using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation to create models, exhibits, and deliverables for roadway, drainage, and multimodal projects.
Ideal candidates have experience with transportation plans, strong detail orientation, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience preparing transportation or civil engineering construction plans.
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of plan production standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop roadway models and construction plans using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.
- Produce plan sheets, cross sections, details, exhibits, and project graphics.
- Support quantity calculations and construction cost estimates.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, utility coordinators, and other project team members.
- Participate in quality control reviews and maintain project standards.
